Huge thanks to C&G Canine Services! 🎉🙌 🌟 What a fantastic session I had yesterday with Jacob! He was absolute gold to work with and a total credit to C&G Canine Services. Axel is a 15-month-old German Shepherd who was reactive to other dogs even from a distance, which made walking him extremely stressful and difficult. When Craig told me during my initial assessment that Axel would only need a few sessions, I was hopeful—and I can now confidently say: believe what you are told! Axel has been completely transformed in just 3 sessions. I cannot recommend C&G Canine Services highly enough. 🌟 If you stick to their advice, follow their methods, and stay consistent, it truly pays off. We still have a little bit of work ahead of us, but the progress and results so far are nothing short of unbelievable. I cant even put into words what in 3 sessions Craig and Jacob achieved working with myself and my dog. Just be prepared to be wowed because the results speak for themselves. I’m still convinced both Craig and Jacob carry magic fairy dog dust in their pockets! 🧚‍♂️🪄✨😂 Thank you both so much for all your continued help, patience, and expert guidance! 🐕❤️

Couldn’t recommend CxG more! I’ve had a few sessions with them focusing on lead pulling and recall, and the difference in walking Ralph is night and day. Both Chris and Jacob were extremely informative and great at explaining the why behind the training. Walking Ralph is so much easier now for both me and my partner. Plus, my family can finally walk him without me worrying he’ll pull them over

We can’t thank CxG canine services enough for all their help with our dog, Arthur. He had a few issues, including anxiety, pulling on the lead, barking whenever people came into the house, and jumping up at everyone. Chris and Jacob were absolutely brilliant with him. Their patience, knowledge and approach have made such a huge difference, and Arthur is so much better now. Thank you so much for everything you’ve done for us and Arthur. We have been working with Chris to help our reactive rottweiler, we couldn't believe the difference in her after just one session! We practice what Chris taught us daily and on our last session walked round a park with Chris and Leo (a dog our girl had never met before) just a few feet away as well at lots of other dogs around and she had no reactions. I would 100% recommend Chris to anyone looking for help with their dog. This type of training is so much better than going to any dog training classes I cant thank Chris enough for teaching us how to help our girl.

I have recently completed an ecollar training course with Chris & Jacob. Cannot thank them enough, their knowledge and training has transformed both mine and my dog Kodi's life. I simply cannot believe the results and the difference it has made, for the first time I have the confidence to enjoy Kodi. Their knowledge and methods are game changers and most importantly they work. I have been on a number of training courses with Kodi with different trainers and got no where so much so that when I first contacted Chris I really was at the point of thinking Kodi was just how she was, I'm so happy say that was totally not the case with their guidance. My only regret is I waited so long.

If I could give Chris and Jacob more than 5 stars I absolutely would. I adopted a rescue dog which I was told to be a lurcher only to find out he’s actually a dutch herder mix. On top of that I soon came to find out he has very extreme reactivity to other dogs, even if they were miles away. I went through numerous trainers and was seriously on the brink of giving up as I was struggling with his reactivity which I believed to be aggression and at the time was unable to fulfil his needs due to being unknowledgeable of his breed. Walks were a nightmare to the point I was scared to take him out. He got no time off lead due to the risks and he was scared. Chris and Jacob absolutely changed that. They helped me understand my dog’s needs and fulfil them without judgement or making me feel silly. They helped me realise that my dog wasn’t aggressive but was a scared, fearful dog. They helped build my confidence with my dog which has strengthened our bond. On top of that they have built an amazing relationship with my dog in which he feels safe and confident in himself. He loves every session with them and is the first to the door upon arrival. I can now more confidently walk my dog without stress and with knowledge to navigate stressful situations. My dog is now a lot happier and has a lot less reactions which are less extreme and he recovers from quickly. He doesn’t even notice dogs a distance away anymore. His recall is spot on and he can now play fetch and run about like a normal dog with no stress he is going to bolt after other dogs (although still on a longline as Chris and Jacob said they would be there for his first ever time properly off lead to ease my anxieties) and all this was trained in a 3 day period. While we still have more work to do I couldn’t thank Chris and Jacob enough. I went from having a dog I thought was out of control, aggressive, I was unable to manage and was worried would end in the worst case scenario to a dog who is more confident, less stressed, happy and fulfilled. I can’t wait to continue our journey with Chris and Jacob. Highly recommend. Thank you so much!

We went to Chris with our 18 month old Vizsla who we could not get off her lead due to her high pray drive. She had no understanding of boundaries and would run to chase birds, rabbits and deers. Maggie had recall but would choose to not listen in environments that were overstimulating. After 3 hours of training, Maggie is now confidently off lead with perfect recall and regular check ins. We have walked her near birds, pheasants and other live stock and she chooses to ignore them and stick close by us! Chris is amazing. From the first meeting, Chris wanted the best for Maggie and knew breed specifics, he recommended loads of different things we could use to ensure we were satisfying her pray drive. This paired with his incredible knowledge of e collar training has Maggie off lead and with freedom and safety within 3 hours of training. We couldn't thank him enough, he's given us and Maggie the freedom we've always wanted - we could not recommend him enough ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We were recommended CXG canine services via a Facebook page - this service cropped up 3 times via people who have used them. This was easily the best decision we have ever made! We have done 3 sessions with Chris and his son, for our Pomeranian who had unpredictable behaviour and was a bite risk to dogs and strangers. Within 3 sessions, our Pom is calmer, controlled & understands what is expected of him. It has made me fall in love with my dog again as we were considering rehoming as we also have a 5 month old baby and felt the risk was to great, however we have a total different mindset. Chris & his son are pleasant, punctual and SO knowledgeable. I have tried other dog “trainers” in the past which did not resolve my dogs behaviour. This service ensures YOU get what YOU need out of the dog and not just general training. I would recommend them to anyone & everyone!

Chris came to help train my dog teddy yesterday to stop pulling on the lead among other things and allready of the advice we were given we can see a massive difference in teddy's behaviour, he is much calmer has already stopped pulling over half the amount he used too and is so much better behaved. Chris is amazing and patient in his teaching and thorough in finding out how is best to help.

I would recommend using CxG to anyone ! They have helped us train our 2 year old lab Monty on the Ecollar and it is life changing . For months we have been cautious where we walk him and avoided areas with dogs due to his reactivity but now with the E collar his recall is coming on really well. It is early days but we are training regularly , we can walk near all sorts of distractions and have his full attention and we know he will progress even further. Thanks so much guys ! 🐾

There’s a reason why every review is 5* and I’ve I could give more I absolutely would. Craig & his son came to us yesterday and spent around an hour and a half with my and my boy Franco. He had the worst relationship with his lead and every walk was a huge chore getting him to the destination so I could let him off. The advice and guidance I received yesterday was second to none. Previous “dog trainers” had told me things like “it’s just going to be something he does” “he will likely grow out of it” We’ve just got back from our first morning walk together and it was honestly the best walk we have ever had! I cried happy tears. Still a way to go but seeing the difference so quickly has blown my mind! I will be shouting recommendations from the roof tops!! It’s not just Franco that’s learning it’s me too. You can watch all the TikTok videos, you can read up on google but nothing will compare to genuine professionals who just want to see you and your best friend be the best version of you! We highly recommend Chris who worked primarily with our then 12 year rescue dog who wouldn't let people in our house for years. With guidance and advice from Chris, we introduced a place bed which has given her security and safety and allows us to have visitors 🙂 Chris also helped with our other anxious dog who was reactive with dogs and people. She is also now much more confdent and relaxed. Chris is punctual, professional and highly experienced. We are so pleased that he helped us and gave our dogs a better quality of life. Thanks Chris 🙂

I can't thank Chris enough for his help. My working cocker spaniel has such a high prey drive and although good recall, she would occasionally push her boundaries which put me on edge about her chasing wildlife or running upto other dogs ect. I can now let her off anywhere, she can spaniel as much as she wants but I have full confidence of getting her back to my feet with just one call. This has completely changed our lives. My girl is so much happier and I love watching her living her best life. Chris is an absolute pleasure to work with and my dog loves him. Chris is amazing! He really knows what he’s doing and has helped so much with my dogs lead control and just general discipline (Rottweiler she can be stubborn). You can tell he loves what he does and genuinely wants you and your dog to do well. He’s also really easy to reach, always replies to messages and always happy to give extra support when needed. Couldn’t recommend him more!

Oscar,a young malionis , struggled with serve reactivity to traffic - lunging and barking at passing cars .Thanks to the consistent guidance from Chris and Jacob, focusing on obedience, place work,and impulse control,he is learning to stay calm . Today ,he faced his busiest road yet and coped brilliantly! Controlled exposure,play with the tug ,and perfectly timed positive reinforcement helped him stay focused and relaxed. Having been to seven different trainers and spent over £3000 with zero results I know better than most that the dog training world is full of chancers who have no clue. However, I can say with confidence that Chris is the real deal. He carries out a full assessment and then tailors the training to what your dog needs, no jumping into things head first and blind. He doesn’t care about ideology or fads, only what works. And the results speak for themselves. Probably one of the only proper dog trainers in the North East. I’d have no hesitation in recommending CxG to family and friends.

Chris and Jacob have been a great help with Atlas since he was four months old. They have been instrumental in establishing the foundation skills and the training required to build on the skills. Jacob came to our house to help with my 3 month old puppy being just a bit too bitey , he was at the house for an hour and gave us alot of fantastic advice. After following his advice he does still bite ,but the biting is now normal puppy biting without aggression. Very friendly and professional service. Since adopting a 'highly reactive and aggressive dog' I enrolled for the help with the experts - only to find out that my girl had 'scared aggression, not aggressive tendancies'. We have had quite a number of sessions with both Chris and Jacob and I cannot speak highly enough of them both. They have given me the tools that help not only only my dog, but myself too and given me the confidence to not shy away from environments which used to set off reactions and I have definitely seen HUGE improvements in almost all areas we needed to work on so far. There's still things we need to work through but that is simply because of how ill treated my girl was before I brought her home and things she hasn't experienced before. These guys are literally THE BEST in the business and the knowledge is unsurmountable on dog behaviours in all breeds. Get booked in, you will not look back.

My wife wanted a bit of extra training to be more confident when walking our two GSDs. The pair of them are very pully on the lead and in competition to be ahead of each other on the walk.Our main focus was to get this under control. We did our research and found Chris. We wanted someone with experience of GSDs and who better than a former police dog handler. We've only had two sessions but the change in the dogs has been immediate. A great approach to lessons, we have a sit down chat about what we want to achieve that day, then off we go to do the practical and then a debrief at the end of it. It's perfect as we know what we need to work on before the next session. Chris has a great approach to training and giving instruction, there is no pressure and always has different methods of achieving the goal if you are struggling with something. Chris is training up his son Jacob, who is also very passionate about dogs. Also great to have Jacob as he can introduce an extra dog in to the mix to see how our dogs react when walking past another dog. My wife is now far happier on the walks and enjoying them more. Ours dogs are not the finished article but we are heading in the right direction and hope has been restored.

I contacted Chris when I first reserved my puppy and started his puppy training when he first came home, as a first time solo dog owner I was nervous about how I would manage with a german shepherd aswell as 4 young children. The knowledge and skills I have learnt from Chris and Jake have been second to none. I now have a happy well trained 1 year old dog. Chris and Jacob did a great job with my German Shepherd, Bear. They helped to stop him being reactive with other dogs and worked with me to help with his recall. Bear has calmed down considerably after implenting the advice given by Chris and Jacob. I would highly recommend them.

Meet my rescue gsd x mali Oreo. Spent more of his life in kennels than anywhere else when I got him, had to learn everything from scratch and despite my experience with the gsd breed the mali thing was something else. Cannot recommend Chris and Jacob highly enough. Their support, behavioural knowledge and training is second to none. Oreo is a different dog and I now have direction for him.

Within my first session I was able to walk my gsd x Mali past people with no reactions ( she usually barks at everything and anyone) we have had two session now working with dog reacting , and she has shown so much improvement Chris and Jacob have taught me way to help my pup , she is working on place which she is doing really well with and I could not recommend them enough , lovely people and care very much about what they do, thank you both very much.

Absolutely unbelievable. Can not fault these guys. The BEST around. Their knowledge and skill is absolutely worth every penny! We’ve spent a fortune over the years on mediocre dog trainers… or people like to call themselves behaviouralists. 👀 Our 5 year old German shepherd has had so many nervous issues with other dogs and literally within an hour it’s like she’s fixed (providing we put the work in too!) but I couldn’t recommend them enough! Please invest if you’re stuck! These guys are THE BEST.

Me and my golden retriever are working to train up to competition level for agility. I need my dog to be both responsive and reliable off lead especially around other dogs. Despite my own experience training dogs I knew I needed help. I have used CXG canine services before for some recommendations for exercise outlets for my dog, so when I needed help I knew where to go. I have had 2 sessions so far to help cement a more reliable recall and have seen great results. My dog is coming back when called and is far less distracted by his surroundings. Chris's knowledge and professionalism really shows through during sessions and his calm demeanor really helps build your confidence. Chris was recommended to me by two friends. I was struggling with my young English Bulldog with behaviours in the home and also out walking. Having taken on a retired Police dog, we were delighted to find Chris with 25 years experience training police dogs. He is so calm, knowledgeable and friendly and unfazed by whatever behaviour you’re struggling with. His opinion on what to do has been a real touchstone for us after a very poor trainer who took our confidence. We have faith that we will improve our German Shepherds reactivity to dogs under his stewardship.
